Dell Opens Green Store
So it was all over the online tech blogs and magazines yesterday that Dell computers just opened a Green Store. We checked it out. And WiredLatinos admits, it is pretty cool and progressive and green. “At the heart of Dell’s green approach is the powerful idea that we can do MORE with less: less time, less waste, less energy, less money,” says their blurb. Awesome!
All this is great. What we don’t understand, is why can’t they do exactly the same webpage in Spanish. We, Latinos, the bread and butter of future America, like green too. And, of course, I, as an American-Latina, can read English and buy in English . . . but researchers are right: it makes me happy just to know that if I want the information in Spanish it is there. Better yet, if I want to share it with my Tia Maria or Compadre Jose who can’t read or speak English, I can do that too.
Marketers, get the message please: We’re here to stay and grow . . . jump start your Latino market share and go bilingual from the start.
(WiredLatinos is not being hypocritical. We just don’t have the funds or resources YET to have our website in Spanish — we’re looking for sponsors ~Dell/Apple/MS/AT&T/Sprint~ . . . hint, hint/wink,wink/nudge,nudge).
