Univision teamed up with Persistent Systems to create their news app which was launched last week.  The Noticias Univision app is currently only for the iPhone and iPod touch and is now available at iTunes App Store. The app delivers real-time coverage, national, local and international news as well as relevantlocal content about the user’s city or hometown.

The Noticias Univision App brings 24/7 news coverage and reporting from Univision’s news division.

Later this month, new features will be added.  For exampale:

• Personalization – Users can receive local/country related news. The app identifies user location and displays relevant info
• User-generated content – Users can report breaking news by uploading photos and videos
• Users can share their favorite Noticias Univision content with friends and family on Facebook and Twitter

The Noticias Univision App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore. The app is also available on the Univision’s iTunes page at iTunes.com/Univision.

Univision launched its Android app for TV and radio last November.
