Skype mobile is now available on many of Verizon Wireless’ 3G Multimedia phones. The LG enV(R) TOUCH, LG Chocolate Touch(TM) and Samsung Reality(TM) join Verizon Wireless lineup of 3G Smartphones that already feature Skype mobile.

Skype-to-Skype calls and chats are unlimited when initiated with Skype mobile from a Verizon Wireless phone with a data plan to any Skype users anywhere in the world. The calls run on Verizon allowing the app to work with traditional voice products, including Bluetooth(R) headsets. Skype mobile calls made to domestic landline and wireless numbers use minutes from customers voice plans. Skype mobile calls to international numbers do not use customers voice plans and are paid for by Skype Credit and charged at Skypes low international rates.

Customers with Android smartphones can download the app from the Verizon Channel in Android Market(TM), and customers with select BlackBerry(R) smartphones can download it from http://www.skype.com/vzw through their smartphones browser. For 3G Multimedia phones, customers can download the app from Media Center/Get It Now(R) or the online media store at http://www.verizonwireless.com/mp3. Customers can also text “SKYPE” to 2255 to get a message with the link to download Skype mobile.
